42 year old Ahmed Anis Darragi was on holiday with his family in Tunisia when he went missing on 20th September 2015.
The family were spending the day at Kerkouane Beach, Nebul when, at around 11am Ahmed and his cousin went fishing on a new kayak. After an hour or so the weather became windy and the family lost sight of the kayak and its occupants.
Searches are underway and it is thought that the wind may have blown the kayak in a South Easterly direction, towards Pantaleria, Italy.
There were migrant rescue craft operating in the area so it may be possible that they have picked up Ahmed and his cousin and taken them to a refugee centre.
Ahmed has brown eyes and brown hair which is receding a little at the front. He is around1m 85cm tall and well built.
The day he went missing he was wearing a light grey t-shirt, dark navy shorts, dark navy hat and black pull on elasticated shoes. He wears daily use contact lenses so he will not be able to see very well. He can speak arabic, english and french fluently and a little Italian.
